Soroptimist International East Bay presents grants to help women with dependents who are pursuing an education/trade to improve their lives..
We also provide funding for grants to women in the final phase of their doctoral degree thereby affirming the importance of the recipients' work and value as an individual in fields traditionally held by men or that have great social importance to the world.. |
We volunteer our time and provide funding to help local community non-profits better serve women and girls.
Annually we recognize high school female students for their service work in our community. |
JOIN Soroptimist International East Bay and make friends with like-minded women, volunteer for local service projects, help raise funds for our scholarships and grant programs, enjoy our Club, District and Regional Meetings as well as Conference and Biennial Conventions. Knowledge & Personal Growth: You will learn more about your community and how to lead and follow.
Networking: Share your business and professional expertise with others and learn about theirs in return.
Friendship: In the course of participating in your Soroptimist club activities, you will forge new friendships, many that will last a lifetime.
Being a Soroptimist means many things:
- It means you care about making a difference in the lives of women & children -- in your community, your country, and throughout the world.
- It means you’re willing to give of your time & talent to raise funds & provide service to others in your community.
- It means you are a person of action -- not someone who waits for others to improve the lives of those less fortunate.
